Happy birthday!

Someone is eight years old today.  She's very insistent that until the time of her birth, she is not yet actually 8. Precision is important with this one.

Margot is two!

Someone turned 2!  We had a small party at home on her actual day, presents from Mommy, Daddy, Madeline, and grandparents and a little cake. Margot very much enjoyed all of it.  We'll have a sweet little party with friends soon - we had to postpone the first one after our party girl caught a fever last week.

Harry Potter and the seventh birthday

For her 7th, Madeline decided on a Harry Potter themed birthday - we remain about 60 pages from finishing Order of the Phoenix and well, I said ok. Happy birthday darling

End of summer

Here we are at the end of summer. We've been thrifting, selling, placing for weeks now. Probably a truckload still to the dump, another to the thrift, and random things we're on the lookout for. Some recents include... Push button switches Transoms The upstairs starting to look finished. Our Ringside painting from Bruce Mitchell now hung in place of safe lighting and prominence.  Our little upstairs nook. We can read there. No it's not Africa.  And when we're not housing, I'm making a Bat Mobile for my little gothlings. Purple and Red hot air balloon currently drying.  Someone completed their first year. Is walking, babbling, and giggling all day.  Someone else started first grade...  Did you wonder if I could find a post office? I always find post offices. This may be the making of a great road trip one day.  Sure - we have a couple of hours. Let's go to Mt. Rainier and ...
